There's often disbelief when I explain to people all the trades involved in making a sign. Surely it cant be that involved?
Just add a bit of this, and a slap of that, and hammer it together (thinks the layman!). Well, sadly not so!
Over the next while I will be finding some "tools of the trade" around our workshops and offices and featuring some of the uses, skills, techniques and reasons why signage is not always as simple as you think...
So in no order of importance or merit, today's tool of the trade is the humble nail ...
This set of nails have just been spraypainted prior to use on signage work. Keeping the nails to the exact pantone of the sign ensures a quality result.
Clearly we couldn't do our trade without a fair few of these... and the picture below goes to show the lengths we'll go to to ensure your nails match your sign colour pantone, with a truly professional finish.
