We've been listening to the market, doing our research, talking to our clients and generally mixing with the who's who in the zoo around town, and in response to some great feedback are pleased to announce the launch of our new brand, Yap!digital.

We know that the touchscreen revolution is just around the corner, and our aim is to offer a simple digital signage solution that brings all  the key elements of a project together in one simple offering. All elements of the project are managed in house, by our team, and that's the Yap!digital promise.

Check out our new website at:  www.yapdigital.com.au/

Some would argue that dogs do speak, but only to those who know how to listen... We know how to listen so speak up and contact us to day at either: +61 8 9274 5151 or tim@yapdigital.com.au.

Interactive signage that speaks!

Digital number plate signage - whatever next?!

16/1/2017

Oh yes, you heard it here first!

Digital signage on number plates has been approved for use in two states in the USA - California and Florida, - with many others look set to follow very quickly behind.

Whilst parked cars can now display advertising, promotional or sales messages as the license plate transforms into a digital signage platform. Known as Reviver, or the rPlate, the tool can also be used to deliver emergency broadcasts such as weather warnings or Amber Alerts. It can also automate toll charges and parking fees.

The device was first showcased at the North American International Audo Show, and is designed to offer DMV registration, hyper-local advertising, telematics and more.

The rPlate has a 6-inch by 12-inch display with an anti-reflective screen to ensure visibility in poor weather. It also houses a GPS, accelerometer, storage, CAN bus access and RF sensors.

"The rPlate is the first ever 'fifth screen' or digital signage platform to grace the back of a vehicle and can be installed as an aftermarket product or seamlessly integrated directly into the design of the vehicle," Allan Cooper, partner, Reviver, said in the release. "It can display hyper-local targeted messages to a captive audience when a vehicle is legally parked in any location. One example is the opportunity for auto retailers to use the rPlate to display customized messaging - such as the brand they sell, a lease payment specific to vehicle models, or a sponsored community event or charity on service loaner vehicles and company vehicles."

I wonder how long this will take to reach Australasia?

Is your Master Plan in place for 2017?

PROPER
PLANNING
PREVENTS
PITIFULLY
POOR
PERFORMANCE
What's on your mind now that 2017 has arrived? Reflections at this time of year are commonplace. We consider what has been ... and more importantly, our aspirations of what will come. With a couple of weeks of the new year already under our belt, how are your hopes and dreams shaping up?

Whilst it's very early days, many of us take these quieter times post-Christmas to plan, plan again and then do a bit more planning just for luck! As a good friend of mine advocates, there's nothing like the 6 P's to ensure that everything (within reason) performs to the game plan - for the uninitiated the 6P's refers to Proper Planning Prevents Pitifully Poor Performance. If signage is on your plan for 2017, we'd welcome the chance to help with your master plan and formulate a project plan.

Here's another thought for 2017 related to signage, and everything in life. A wise colleague of mine is always banging on about being valuable. And quite rightly so... it is critical that we always bring value to a relationship or proposition. And so my question to you is, how will you be valuable this year? What value will you add to the client's objectives? Or their next signage strategy? Or to achieving an amazing finished product?
