Free Downloadable PDF - Finbar's Digital Display Suite - CASE STUDY

29/4/2016

REVISITED:
The Display Suite Digital Signage for Finbar Group provided a true turnkey solution, with all 7 key elements of the project designed and delivered by S&L Digital. Arguably the most critical of these 7 elements is what we call ''Business'', or the purpose of the signage. With a clear purpose in mind, our solution can be tailored and in this case involved Design, Hardware, Software, Content, Connectivity and Operations.

It's always nice to shout about our happy customers and in this case we will share their comments:

“From the very beginning Signs & Lines were professional, easy to work with and extremely knowledgeable.

The sales consultant came out to us with a detailed and easy to understand presentation of the products and services available, which ultimately made our decision very easy. From there the communication was top notch with all staff members as we finalised our requirements, designs, fitout and visual content.

Upon completion the staff kept in contact on a regular basis and continued to help us with training and any queries we had.

We are extremely pleased with the end product and have received great feedback from our own customers. We look forward to working with the team at Signs & Lines again in the future”

Kind Regards,
Samara Norris, Executive Manager – Member Relations, Finbar Group

We'll take that as a job well done!

Safety Matters

Thursday 28 April 2016: "World Day for Safety and Health at Work and Workers’ Memorial Day".

Signs & Lines marked the day by displaying posters throughout the workshops and offices. On this day we remembered those that have died from a work-related injury or illness. Our safety culture requires us to constantly discuss and consult with staff to raise awareness of safety and health at work, and take action to prevent injuries and death. This is our No 1 priority.

Bond's weather gauge Digital Signage

27/4/2016

Very, very clever ... and funny ... and all made possible due to the power of digital signage.

Check out this Bonds Boys digital weather gauge billboard in Melbourne’s Bourke Street Mall.

When it’s cold, the boys shrink towards the top of the billboard and when the weather heats up they descend and hang freely. ‘The Boys’ get swung about whenever the wind blows too. More info at:

Can digital signage really tell you that you're driving the wrong car?

22/4/2016

We rather liked this feature from America (where else!) that engages with drivers on the freeway - by telling them that they should be driving a different car!

The digital campaign uses vehicle-recognition technology that can identify certain types of vehicles and generate dynamic, customized messages to drivers of those vehicles on digital billboards.

Here in Australia it translates to the person driving along the Graham Farmer Freeway in Perth being told that their Toyota Camry should be swapped with a Ford Falcon, for example, to improve driver comfort or fuel efficiency.

Whatever the message, and whoever the brand, it's clear that this type of digital marketing is a talking point and on its way to Australia very soon.

Aldi signage goes up... and up, and up

We first featured this project when it was under construction in our workshop a few weeks ago. Here's the installation phase we completed this week.

There's plenty of height involved! At around 12 metres high the double-sided, twin pole pylon sign gives great visibility for the new store opening in Perth's south very soon.

Complementing the pylon are large scale illuminated building signs, directional signage, statutory and parking signage and entry decals (plus a host of extra bits and bobs!).

More on this to follow as this major retail group rolls-out in WA.

What's in a Lot Plate? Well, quite a Lot actually...

If you're buying a house or thinking of building that dream home a Lot Plate is often one of the first tangible signs that the bare patch of earth in front of you actually represents something real. It shows the vital square meterage included, the critical Lot number and other relevant important information.

Often overlooked as a rather basic sign, we must remember that to the purchaser of the patch of earth or sand, the humble lot plate is pure gold!

Here's a few dozen we made this week for Satterley's Seven Hills Estate which in time will represent many hopes and dreams for the new lot purchasers ...

Are you fast enough? Digital signage allows Reebok to race against the people

Digital signage wins the race ... with a 1st place in the Best Creative Campaigns, February 2016.

Reebok worked in collaboration with Animal and JCDecaux Sweden to promote their trainer ZPump 2.0. Reebok reached out directly to their key demographic by challenging them to a race.

A free standing panel enabled with a speed camera measured how fast the person would run past it. If the runner reached the speed of 7km per hour, the panel would open and the winner could grab a free pair of Reebok trainers.

The campaign was a fantastic success with 250 speedy winners and an engaging Outdoor presence  - such a simple way to connect with their key audience directly. Watch the feature below to see more!

This has got to be the future zoos. We now have the technology to create virtual zoos/water theme parks, letting children get up close to wild and free animals. It must be the future. Open the cages, let the prisoners free.
