May was a busy month in our workshops as we finished off some new wayfinding signage for the Champion Lakes Regatta Centre for VenuesWest. Our brief included x6 3-sided triangular totems and x7 two-sided totems displaying information on swimming and access information in the lake environment. In addition we created post and pole signage for Swim Limits and Craft Flow plans. Here are the signs being QC'd (quality checked!) before they left for site. More site photos to come post install.

Champion Lakes Regatta Centre is purpose built for community, state, national and international sport competitions including rowing, canoeing, dragon boating and triathlon events.
It is also a training ground for Australia's Olympic kayaking team and the venue hosted the National Sprint Championships - a qualifying event for Rio2016.

Using analytics of sales data allows you to increase your sales by having relevant content being updated on all systems by scheduling or in real time. Capacitive Touchscreens are the Future
A capacitive touch screen is a control display that uses a conductive touch of a human finger (or a specialized device in a post COVID-19 world) for input. This new technology is becoming critical for the future of Touchscreens.

As the modern user now has an ‘expectation’ of smartphone-like experiences with every touchscreen panel they interact with – this change in capacitive touch technology has driven a positive change in public attitudes towards touchscreens.

A capacitive touchscreen panel must be touched with a finger or a special capacitive item, such as a pen or glove. As the panel’s coating is stored with electrical charges, the location of the ‘’touch’’ is signalled by the change in capacitance in that location of the screen.

When a capacitive panel is touched, a small amount of charge is drawn to the point of contact, which becomes a functional capacitor. The change in the electrostatic field to find the location of the touch – and thus drive the instructions to the media player for a response.

Projected capacitive touch technology is the most commonly implemented touch technology in the world, offering responsive touch performance to everyone who owns a smartphone or other touch-ready device. This touch technology offers clarity and sensitivity. It will continue to operate even when scratched.

This large sign (photographed below) has been under construction in our workshops. It's quite hard to recognise it as a sign based on the photo below! Taken as a shot of the internal section of the sign, the inside has literally been 'lit up' with hundreds of LEDs. Using a side lit LED pattern our objective was to create an even light across all the surfaces of the sign. Due to their compact size, the LED's are able to align perfectly to illuminate this structure and infinite shapes of indoor and outdoor commercial signage.

LED's provide a brilliant, energy-efficient illumination that will last for many years without much maintenance or updating. Typically they come in LED strips which are thin, flexible, and come with adhesive backing, meaning they can be bent to follow various curves and angles of a sign.

​With optional IP weatherproofing, LED strip lights are also resistant to water and dust.
