Signage contractors in Sao Paulo - the 'helicopter capital of the world' - may argue differently, but it's not every day that you get the chance to apply graphics to a helicopter in Perth. So when the opportunity was presented by long-standing Signs & Lines client, ERGT, we naturally jumped at it. So what do you think of this real time 3D Augmented Reality Mirror? Digital Signage Connection reports that the device 'tracks the precise location of a user's facial features and applies eye shadow colors directly on the video feed from the camera... the technology allows users to turn their face from side to side, enabling enabling customers to virtually try out the make up and make a better informed purchase.'
Would you leap at the chance to use this technology? What variants on the Augmented Reality theme would you like to see implemented by retailers? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
