Peter Monkhouse has just celebrated a 20 year
service milestone and as Signs & Lines’ longest serving employee is never at a loss for a good word, or positive contribution. We asked Peter to reflect on how the sign game has changed during his career…

'I’ve seen so many changes over the 20 years I’ve been in the signwriting industry … some people say that I’m so old that I’m part of the furniture here at Signs & Lines [however, I recall that there is  a piece of equipment that is older than me in the fabrication shop (only just!)].

Safety Matters – New lifting Equipment

Check out our new heavy lifting gear!  Delivered in February 2013, these 2 aluminium gantry cranes with electric hoists will ‘lift & shift’ our larger signs as they go through various stages of production in our workshops. This double sided, curved monolith sign is 2.3m by 6m and weighed over a tonne – an easy lift for the new gantries and a great addition for the safety of our workers.
