SEEKING OUR SAFETY CHAMPION FOR SAFE WORK OCTOBER 2019

23/10/2019

Picture
So many outstanding candidates for the Safety Champion accolade, it's been extremely hard to single out one person. Signage is a high risk trade - we use high risk equipment every hour of every day, and a constant focus on keeping alert to the risks and hazards is essential.

This month we've all been thinking about those around us who we consider to be a Safety Champion. Who is the person that adopts safety, embraces safety and really is passionate about safety in everything that they do? Whilst it‘s hard to single out individuals, we we’ve decided to recognise this person – this Safety Champion - formally and there will be a gift/prize awarded in recognition of their commitment to safety.

Awards are imminent - watch this space!!

In other news for Safety Month, we've reissued a company wide re-sign of our 2.0 EHS [Environment Health & Safety] Policy.  Whilst to some this may be small fry, it is the constant, regular review of all things safety that attest to our great safety record. Having all staff sign up to this commitment to safety is part of our holistic approach to keeping us all safe - each day, every day.

  7. Smiling relieves stress. Endorphins are released in your body, even when you force it.
  8. People who smile are perceived as more successful and confident. Smiling will help you get promoted.
  9. There is a proven correlation between smiling and an increase of productivity in teams.
  10. Smiling changes your whole body language!

TOUCHSCREENS ARE THE FUTURE OF BUSINESS

Picture
Irrespective of their looks, touchscreen devices are the future of business. They are intuitive to use and how we use them is constantly evolving.

Touch screen devices really have become the new trend in marketing. It's fair to say that this form of technology has completely taken over every form of device that we own these days.

And, they are heaps of fun!

So let's explore why are Touchscreens the new trend In Marketing?
Ease
Touchscreen devices bring a certain ease to marketing that just doesn’t exist elsewhere. Touchscreen technology allows for a simple touch and swipe and the job is done. It is as easy as that. They make it easier to do business... and are engaging. Our lives now revolve around touching devices so these are just an extension of our hand held devices.
Speed
When it comes to marketing a product or service, it is important to always remember that every second counts. Every moment that is spent delaying is giving the client an opportunity to change his or her mind. In a recent survey conducted by Tech Sling, it showed that a touch screen has the ability to speed up business tasks by as much as 20%. If you are an entrepreneur, this is gold. Scrolling on a touchscreen is quick and easy.
Sophistication
Touchscreens are sophisticated and create a great first impression in business. They are technology focused which conveys to your customers that you embrace change and are ahead of the pack. Subliminally, the client already feels like they are in the right place, talking to the right people.

OUR FABULOUS PAINT SHOP FOR QUALITY SIGNAGE

16/9/2019

High quality signage must have an outstanding paint finish to really pack a punch. The spray booth is an integral part of our process, where we create signage from initial concept, right through to installation.

Whilst the spray booth image below may look a bit raw, this is how the process takes shape in our workshops. The finished result will of course by a stunning sign with a gloss paint finish. Watch out for future blogs when we’ll show you how this one turns out once installed!

Spraypainting is a custom service – meaning we match precisely to your brand colours for a seamless result using 2 pac paint. Whilst many sign firms will outsource their spraypainting and fabrication work to external workshops, Signs & Lines have a large spray booth with drying oven to achieve flawless results.
Picture

Commonly associated with the automotive industry, the spray booth and drying oven system allows rapid drying and more importantly, environmentally friendly painting, resulting in vehicle quality paint finishes on a variety of materials. The mixing room incorporates an automated PMS colour mixing scheme unit for accuracy of colour matching.

We manufacture custom spray paint all types of letters for outdoor and indoor use.

CITY OF STIRLING - PARKS & RESERVES SIGNAGE - CASE STUDY

5/8/2019

Signs & Lines have been working with City of Stirling since 2011. The City has 1,780 hectares of open space for reserves, parks, natural conservation areas and special purpose lands, including over 600 hectares of natural bushland, 26 wetland sites and 6.5 kilometres of coastal dunes and beaches. All these areas require effective signage and this is where we come in...

The City's sign strategy for its Parks and Reserves follows a hierarchy of signs of monolith and directional format in varying size, construction and styling. Read our Case Study below that outlines our signage projects.

The design rationale caters for single or double sided plinths or monoliths, with high quality 2 pac painted header section, and a deliberately rusted lower section known as corten. The reverse side of the sign is either painted, or finished in just corten to provide a more rustic, natural effect that blends into the environment and is a low maintenance finish. Corten steel is blessed with atmospheric corrosion resistance which enables it to be used in a paint-less form for many structural/architectural ways.
Talk to one of our Signs & Lines team today about how totem and monolith signs can benefit your business or environment. Our service always includes our tried and tested formula for creating an integrated signage plan that will boost brand awareness and enhance your professional image. Our professionalism makes us number 1 in WA.
